How to generate an App Password (for example - access Mail via IMAP in CRM or another Mail client)

When you have Multi-Factor Authentication (aka Two Factor Authentication) enabled, you cannot use your regular password to configure Zoho Mail to be accessible in other applications - you need to generate an App Password.

To do this, navigate to https://accounts.zoho.com.au - you may need to authenticate yourself.

Once there, navigate to security, and click App Passwords

If you have created passwords before, you can see the friendly names here, and you can delete them by clicking the trashcan icon to the right. You will not be able to recover them. If you need to recover a password, you must delete it and create a new one.
Click Generate New Password to create a new one.

It is recommended to name the password after the app you are using it for - for  example: Zoho CRM IMAP, or iCloud IMAP, or Outlook IMAP. - then click generate.

The password will be displayed to you - it is masked for security reasons in the above example. There is a button to copy the password. Click close once you have copied the password, and entered it into the correct application.
Warning
The password cannot be recovered after you click Close - so ensure you have copied it before closing.
