Task Boards in Zoho Connect provide a visual Kanban-style workspace to track work, manage milestones, and collaborate using columns (sections), sub-task checklists, and priority statuses.
Board Structure: Group-Assigned vs. Standalone
Creating a Task Board
Navigate to Tasks from the main left-hand sidebar.
Click + New Board (bottom-left corner).
Enter the Board Name and a concise Description.
Set the Group Assignment:
Click Create.
Managing Board Settings & Controls
Access configuration options by opening the board, clicking the top-right menu (three dots), and selecting Settings:
Permission Controls: Define role-based limits on who can create tasks, add sections, assign collaborators, edit cards, or mark tasks as complete (board admins bypass these restrictions).
Members & Roles: Promote members to Board Admin or downgrade them to Member via the user action menu.
Custom Tags: Create colour-coded tags to categorise work across columns.
Task Automation & Section Actions: Set up automated checklist attachments or default assignees when cards are dragged into a specific section.
Board Templates: Save configured boards (sections, workflows, and task scaffolds) as reusable templates for repeatable operations.
Association & Archiving:
Link an unassigned board to a group (or delink it) at any time under the Advanced tab.
Configure automated task archiving (e.g., auto-archiving completed cards after set intervals) or archive the entire board to make it read-only.
